The SEED Project
The SEED Project: Your Path to Transfer and Success
The Satellite Education and Employment Development (SEED) Project is here to help you achieve your goal of earning a bachelor’s degree. Whether you're starting your journey at College of the Redwoods or already enrolled in a fully online university program, SEED is designed to support you every step of the way.
Who is SEED for?
- Current College of the Redwoods students who want to transfer to a four-year university and need extra guidance. We'll help you explore your options and plan your path to a bachelor's degree.
- Students enrolled in fully-online bachelor's programs who live near College of the Redwoods or Shasta College but cannot easily visit their university in person. SEED offers you local support, so you don’t have to go through your online program alone.
How Does SEED Help?
- You can take as little as 0.5 units at your community college while attending your online university, giving you access to live, in-person support services.
- SEED provides access to resources like academic advising, career planning, and student services that can make the difference between feeling lost and staying on track to graduation.
- For students living in rural areas like Del Norte, Trinity, Shasta, and beyond, SEED offers a connection to a local community college, making it easier to get the support you need close to home.
Whether you need help navigating university requirements, understanding career options, or just a place to feel grounded, SEED is here to guide you toward success in your online or in-person transfer journey.
